NPG offers a variety of psychological evaluations including specialized neurological and educational assessments for children and adults (ages 5+). All evaluations are catered to the specific needs of the individual to provide optimal practical recommendations and strategies to improve overall functioning.
Psychological evaluations assist in understanding distressful emotions, behaviors and symptoms related to psychological disorders to determine appropriate treatment options.
Neurological evaluations (which may include Educational Evaluation components) offer an in-depth examination of brain and cognitive functioning including areas such as intelligence, executive functions (such as planning, abstraction, conceptualization), attention, memory, visual-spatial, visual -motor, perception, sensorimotor functions, and motivation. Within the neuropsychological evaluation academic and educational functioning is assessed to identify learning challenges and processing styles that may impair educational and occupational success. These evaluations may provide necessry documentation for special education services.***As an added convenience to families, NPG will conduct educational evaluations on-site at the student's school with proper approval.
Assessments typically require 6 to 8 hours to complete the entire process which may be done over 2 or more sessions depending on the complexity of the referral.
